Gallery 350 presents Ember, a Photography Exhibition by GMB Akash

Gallery 350 opened Ember - an exhibition by Bangladeshi photographer GMB Akash on 15 September 2026, showcasing photographs that highlight the lives, experiences and resilience of people whose stories often go unnoticed.

The exhibition focused on individuals and communities living in difficult circumstance, including children, workers and families across South Asia. Through his photographs, Akash presented a human-centred perspective, moving beyond hardship to explore themes of dignity and determination in everyday life.

Rather than portraying people solely through their struggles, the photographs highlighted their individuality, relationships, aspirations and strength. The exhibition offered visitors an opportunity to look beyond familiar narrative of poverty and vulnerability and consider the people behind the images.

Akash’s work reflects the important of building trust and understanding the lives of the people he photographs. His approach goes beyond documenting difficult circumstances, focusing instating on the personal stories, experiences and resilience that shape their lives.

The exhibition marked a presentation of Akash’s photography at Gallery 350, bringing together images that encourage reflection on humanity and the experience people share across different backgrounds and circumstances.

Through this exhibition, Gallery 350 invited visitors to engage with stories that are often overlooked and to reconsider how they see and understand the people around them.

The exhibition will be on till 19 October 2026.
