The PULSE - Abaadheege Vindhu: 2045 exhibition was held at the National Art Gallery in Malé from 18 - 20 August 2026, exploring how demographic and social changes could shape the Maldives and its islands over the next 20 years.
The exhibition presented information about projected population changes and the country’s future development through digital and visual displays. It was designed to make demographic information easier to understand and encourage greater public interest in issues that could influence the future of the Maldives.

The exhibition was held to promote the use of demographic data in planning and decision-making. While information is regularly collected and updated, it had, previously, not been taken into consideration at planning stages. The project aimed to present the data in a more accessible format and connect it with a wider audience.
Organised by UNFPA Maldives and executed by Engon, the exhibition pushed the public to engage with demographic information in an innovative and interactive way.
